Unintentioal roaming

Good afternoon, I recently returned from a trip to Ireland and have 5 roaming charges on my bill ($86 worth) for the following dates: March 20/26, March 21/26 x2, March 31/26, April 3/26.  It says the duration for each is only 1 minute (I did not place any calls, etc.) I used a Saily esim when I was in Ireland so I am thinking my roaming was left on by accident (not sure if the plane picked up towers in the US, UK, etc)? Are you able to remove these charges?  It would be greatly appreciated as the esim I bought in Ireland was also very expensive. Thanks so much!

Easy roam is triggered when you send a sms, or use any data or talk with your koodo sim. 

The 1min ER/VC charge just shows when easy roam is triggered by some kind of use. 

 

Follow the article below to determine what triggered the roaming charge. Was it talk or text or did data leakage occur?

Thanks for the response, Dennis - it looks like data leakage occurred for each of those (so my data must have been left on unintentionally).

I recommend checking how much data was used. If it is more than 1MB, Koodo might not be able to waive the fee since it counts as actual usage

Thanks Dinh, looks like the charges on March 31st and April 3rd were both less than 1MB (0.16 MB and 0.41 MB).

We have looked into it and we have been able to apply a credit for the 2 days since they usage was due to data leakage, however for the rest, there is higher usage.

We recommend checking the article shared by Dennis above to find out more about how to prevent unwanted roaming charges.
