Ordering phone/ plan online, wondering about the recurring payment situation?

I am planning to order a new phone/ plan for a family member on her own Koodoo account, but I am trying to figure out how the payment structure will work. For instance with her previous plan, she would get a bill in the mail and have to take it to the bank to pay it off. No problem.

Now since I am ordering this new setup for her online, and since she doesn't have a credit/ debit card of her own to pay for things online, I have to put in my own credit info in order to pay for the $10 shipping fees basically. Which is no problem either.

I am just wondering if when I do that, will I also get charged for the recurring monthly payments her new phone will bring afterwards? As if her account/ profile will save my credit card information as hers and charge everything moving forward to that? Or, will everything remain the same as they were before?

Hi @TrickyJLC

The monthly payment from the bill will be withdrawn automatically only if you set a pre-authorized payment on her account: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-pre-authorized-payments once the account is active.

If you order online, under her name, here are the credit check requirements: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/credit-check-requirements

If she doea not have a debit/credit card, I would expect the credit check to fail.

If you are paying with your card for her you might as well add her to your account. Or she can sign up witb prepaid.
