For just one month it's hardly worth it, especially if you have a great promotional plan.
If you are not attached to your current plan, you can contact Koodo and request the seasonal hold plan. It will cost $15/month. Then when you come back, you can pick any of the current plans to resume your service.

If your current plan is a basic plan, then do what Sophia said, but if you have any promotions, don’t do it. It’s not worth it. Promotions include add-on, credits, etc.
