sim to esim but adding new #, 2nd Line

Is it possible to get a new number, theoretically a second line, if I transfer my sim to ESIM, with an existing Koodo account? If so, what are the costs involved?

Also, is this possible to do on online with my account self-serve option? I googled this question and it says it's possible to download everything or use a QR code. But the problem is I can't find how to download an ESIM, or figured out how to scan a QR code from a screen and not a physical printout to scan. Do I really have to go into a store to buy a voucher to do this?

If you want a second line, you need to add a line (meaning you sign up for another number and plan).  For example, my wife has 2 lines on her phone.  Her personal line is an esim, and her business line is a physical sim.  But this means paying for 2 plans (2 phone numbers).  The sign up costs will be the same as being a new customer signing up for a new plan.

You can sign up online, by logging into your self serve account and then selecting adding a new line when you click on Shop>Plans.  When this happens Koodo will mail you out a physical sim.  If you want this line be an esim, you will need to go to the store to buy a esim QR code voucher and you can complete the sim swap in self serve.

Koodo esims are not downloadable.  You must scan a QR code voucher purchased in store.
