Monthly Credits Explained: What Happens After They End?

At Koodo, we offer our customers various promotions to help them save money on their monthly bills. One of these promotions is monthly credits. These credits can provide substantial savings on your monthly bill, but it is important to understand that they do not last forever. In this article, we'll explain how monthly credits work, what happens after they end, and how you can change your plan using Self Serve.

How Monthly Credits Work

Monthly credits are promotional offers that are applied to your monthly bill. These credits are usually offered for a limited time, typically 12, 15, or 24 months. The exact duration of the credit will be outlined in the terms and conditions of the offer.

The value of the monthly credit will vary depending on the offer. The credit will be applied automatically to your bill each month, and you will see the amount of the credit listed as a separate line item on your bill.

Find out more about how these credits are calculated here: Understanding your Koodo bill credits.

What Happens After the Credit Ends

When the promotional period for the monthly credit ends, your bill will return to the regular monthly rate for your plan. You will be responsible for paying the full amount of your monthly bill, as you agreed to when you signed up for the plan.

It is important to keep track of when your monthly credit will end so that you’re not caught off guard by a higher bill. You can find this information on page 4 of your invoice by logging into Self Serve.

You can move your number out anytime.

Just watch out for remaining tab balance and  tab bonus if you bought a phone with tab.

Hi,

I am using my own device since  i am  with this plan. No tab.

If you don’t have any tab, then it’s easy.
Do not cancel your Koodo account before move/ transfer your number since the porting need an active account.

I don't understand why my bill is so expensive. A family member just upgraded his phone to the same one I got. No charge! He also got 100 G. This is from Telus. He pays 55 plus tax. My bill for 60 G is 105. Why such a big difference when it's pretty much the same company?

Hi @PegD The deals during Black Friday and Boxing Week are usually better than in other periods of the year.

The bill details can be reviewed on the PDF bill: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/viewing-and-downloading-your-bills

Also, feel free to check the details for the plan in self serve and see if a better plan is available for you: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/changing-your-rate-plan
