Wi-Fi calling on new phone not working

I bought my wife a new Samsung Galaxy A16 5G which works well except enabling Wi-Fi Calling which fails with error message “The number entered doesn't match our records. Please re-enter your number”.  After entering number and waiting for access code the phone continually displays error message and needs to be rebooted but still does not enable Wi-Fi calling.

The previous phone worked well without issue.

Please advise on setting up Wi-Fi calling.

Wi-Fi calling is now working. The strangest fix to get it working was connecting to a different home WiFi named network and trying once again with success. Changed back to home network afterwards and works without issue.

Hi @Gary Bignell

Will you please try setting it up again?

Please try restarting the phone first and let us know if it works.

Still receiving the message “Wi-Fi Calling Couldn't setup Wi-Fi Calling. Try again later in Settings”. The phone continuously displays and beeps and needs rebooting when trying to enable this feature.

Not sure if this is the Samsung phone issue or Koodo

Got it!

Just to double check, is it for the line ending in *31, is that right?

Thank you for confirming!

We have double checked and the services are properly provisioned form our end.

Have you tried resetting network settings in the phone settings under: Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings?

This will also reset saved wifi and bluetooth connections.
