Why MMS Not Sending While Calls, SMS & Data Work Fine?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing a strange issue where calls, SMS, and mobile data are working perfectly, but outgoing MMS is not sending, although receiving MMS sometimes works.

I’m trying to understand the root cause. Could it be:

  • Incorrect MMS APN settings (MMSC, proxy, port)?
  • Carrier-side restrictions?
  • Device compatibility issues (especially with lesser-known brands)?
  • Software or firmware bugs?

If anyone has faced this before, what was the fix?

MMS needs specific APN configuration like MMSC proxy and port settings that are separate from your regular data. Even if your data, calls, and SMS are working, incorrect MMS settings will block your picture messages.

Your MMS proxy and port need to match Koodo’s specifications exactly. You’ll want to check your APN settings against the official configuration at https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone. If you cannot edit the default APN because it is greyed out, you should create a new APN profile and input the correct MMSC, proxy, and port values.

You can just also try resetting your network settings and then reconfiguring your APN with the correct MMS details. This clears cached configurations that might conflict. 

Also, remember that MMS requires mobile data to be turned on to function. Try the APN reconfiguration first as that usually fixes it. If the issue persists, you might need an account level investigation.
