I want to upgrade my plan and get a new phone. Will the new plan be on my current phone (and with data started back up) until i get home to set up the new phone?

Yes your current sim stays active throughout and the new plan would be on the current sim if that’s the line you choose to upgrade

+4You will get a prorated amount for the rest of your billing cycle. Lets say you have 15 days left in your billing cycle and switch to a 20GB plan. You would get 10GB to use for the rest of that cycle.
