My RCS chat status is stuck on connecting. I have turned my data off and on. I have turned my wifi off and on. I have reset my phone. My apps are all up to date. My android is up to date. I have done everything other than factory reset my phone which, from what I've read, does not work.
It's been stuck on connecting since my family and I went to Florida 4 weeks ago.
I have lost the ability to group text certain groups. What is left that I can do?

rcs messaging between android and apple phones seems to be messed up. i have no problems with sending messages to other androids, but nothing is going through to apple users. outgoing messages can be retried as sms and they go through (using the default google messages app), but another friend told me that they've been trying to send me messages and have failed (they ended up using whatsapp to get through).
not sure what is going on, but given the two cases, i seem to be the common denominator and i'm currently pointing the finger at koodo.
(tbc, my rcs status shows as "connected" and disconnecting and reconnecting works, but messages are still not being delivered, so it might not be the same problem you're having)

Worked perfectly before going to Florida. Even for a couple days while there. And just suddenly stopped working
Have you cleared the cache and data from your google messages app? Note that all you messages will be lost so you will need to back those up if you want to preserve them

According to this post, you may want to ask the iPhone user to restart their phone. They also need to toggle off and on RCS to restart the connection and keep cellular data turned on to receive the RCS messages. Otherwise, it will not go through.
