I am trying to tranfer my phone number from my old iPhone 10 to my new iPhone 13. During set up the new phone tried doing the transfer via “transfer from nearby iPhone” but it keeps saying “unable to transfer".
I have also tried converting my number to eSim on my old phone but that doesn’t work either.

If that SIM card works in the old phone but not the new one, then there’s likely an issue with the sim reader in the new phone. Try restarting or factory resetting the new phone to see if that helps.
If the SIM card no longer works in either phone, then you’ll want to visit a Koodo store to get a new SIM card.

Then if you’d like an esim, you can try converting that to an esim from the new phone.

I put the old sim into my new phone and the cellular isn’t working. It says SOS at the top, and when someone tries to call me it doesnt go through.
There is also no option to convert to eSim when I put my old sim into my new phone.

I restarted the new phone. I was able to convert old sim to esim. It works now!
