Similar to this person I have the dreaded “data explanation mark”

Steps I have tried:

  1. I reset the phone several times.
  2. I turned off the phone and removed and reinstalled the sim card, I also tried the second slot as my OnePlus 7T has a dual sim card tray.  Reset the phone several times.
  3. I tried the sim card in my old OnePlus 3.  It works, so presumably it’s not a sim card issue.
  4. I followed the steps to modify my APN at this link and reset several more times.

  5. I then reset my APN to defaults (easily found on google, here’s one link you can follow to see what I mean) https://www.4gapn.com/ca/en/koodo
  6. Finally I reset the network settings using the following steps: From the Home screen, swipe up, then tap Settings.  Tap System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth.

Unfortunately none of this has helped, does anyone have any other ideas on what to do?  Regarding the APNs, I was very careful to make sure I matched the case (sp.koodo.com) as well as typo checking.  Also I live in a major Canadian city and have checked several times, it doesn’t seem that the issue is with the Koodo network.  Also data works fine over WiFi.

Update!  I kept searching and noticed an interesting word on someone else’s forum posting.  The OP deleted all other APNs.

I deleted all the other APNs, and then added a new one adding ONLY the info from here and nothing else: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/setting-data-your-non-koodo-phone?search_api_views_article_search_fulltext=APN
 

For now it’s working, I’ll update if this changes!

Could you post a snapshot your apn settings here?


I finally got a hold of Koodo technical service and we manually inputted all the APN data and it works now.  Hopefully for good!
