Not receiving 2fa codes from 1 source. Does Koodo block specific numbers?

About 3 months ago I stopped receiving 2fa codes from a financial services supplier of mine in the US.  I engaged with their support and went through my setup with them and couldn’t find any problems.  Their support suggested talking to Koodo.

I updated my 2fa profile entry with my supplier to use my wife’s Koodo mobile number and I received 2fa codes every time.  What’s going on?  Does Koodo block certain 2fa codes?

Thanks for any experience of ideas you can share.

Hi

Since your wife's Koodo number receives them, it doesn't look like Koodo is blocking that sender.

Do you receive 2fa codes from other sources normally, your bank for example? As well, which phone are you using?

I would check the blocked numbers list and the spam/filtered folder in your messaging app first, that's the usual cause when only one sender goes missing. Anything change around 3 months ago, new phone or a different messaging app?

Dinh, I agree with your analysis of Koodo blocking that sender.

I receive 2fa codes as expected from other sources, as recently as last night.  I have an iPhone 17 Pro.

<image and sound of hand hitting forehead>  Duh! I looked in my Message app spam folder (for the first time ever) and found all my missing 2fa codes from the past few months.    I feel like such a newby but those feelings are offset by my relief at moving forward.  Kudos to you and to user-to-user support

Thanks a million! for pointing me in the right direction!
