I recently upgraded to the s25 ultra. I notice the phone is only lasting a day. 100 percent in the morning, down to 23 percent in the evening. Is this normal? I find my old samsung to have a comparable battery. I expected a longer life.

Roughly one day of battery life is entirely normal for a smartphone. My s24 Ultra typically lasts 17-18 hours with normal usage.

+4Is your ultra a new one or a preowned? Battery usuage depends your activities though. When you checked the battery section, what is the screentime? and which apps did it show consuming battery the most ?

That’s what I do: I drink and I know things.
I agree with Timo, I have an S24 Ultra and use it regularly through the day and end the day with about 30%. Samsung devices also have an Adaptive Battery Learning Cycle feature.
It usually takes a few weeks to see the benefits. Once it figures out your usage, you should see the battery life improve slightly, but it really just depends on how much you’re using it.
