Just bought a new S20 ultra but i cant use wifi calling,i can activate it and then i can give the 6 digit code that koodo sent me but after that it just cycle with the ‘’requesting service. Please wait...’’.

Had no problem with my s9 before for that feature.

Have you tried restarting your phone?

Are you activating Wi-Fi Calling while in an area with cellular coverage?

Have you tried resetting your phones’ network settings?

Try these troubleshooting steps and let us know if the problem persists.

Do you see the VoLTE add-on in Self Serve?

VoLTE should be added automatically, but just to make sure, check that it has been added to your Self Serve account. Login to Self Serve, click the Self Serve tab and select Mobile services > My add-ons and look for the VoLTE access add-on. VoLTE is needed in order for Wi-Fi Calling to work.

It’s likely you will have to go through the process of getting a new six-digit code. The previous code has probably expired. If the issue continues, we can flag a rep to take a closer look.

Are you using the same email address for Self Serve as here in the community? This allows the rep to access your account and send private messages when necessary.


I will try again but I did respect the 10 minutes timeout, and yeah it's the same email address

Looks like the rep may have missed the flag.

Are you a postpaid or prepaid customer?

There are two Koodo Assist platforms, one for postpaid customers, the other for prepaid customers. If still no response from the rep, I would suggest scheduling a callback through Koodo Assist and ask to speak to a tech to get this issue resolved.

Follow the required prompts that you’re a Koodo customer/phone number and enter “schedule callback” (without quotation marks) into the chat window. Ignore the next set of prompts/suggestions and enter schedule callback again. At that point, you should see the prompt, Speak to a rep.
