Koodo Internet using my own router

I received and setup my Koodo Internet modem and router.  I have them currently working as a stand alone network while my current DSL connection is still active and serving my household.

I do not want to use the supplied Telus wireless router and would like to know what settings to apply to my current router to make the connection.  My current router just like the telus router has a 2.5Gig interface that will work with the cable modem.

Koodo internet has a separate modem and router. You should just be able to use the modem provided, and then use your router in place of the one they sent.

Nothing fancy, just plug it into the modem and it should be up and running the same way that it is currently running on your other connection.

There is no specific ISP authentication needed?

The modem should automatically connect and setup itself for you.

Just a heads up.  I tried connecting my personal router directly to the supplied cable modem and my internet is up and running.  I left the Koodo supplied Wifi 6 router in the box.

Does anyone know the correct DNS server entries for this service?

The DNS should be set to auto in the modem and the router should follow it.

If you want to manually set DNS, you could choose Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloud Flare (1.1.1.1)
