I like to stream YouTube and Twitch when I'm on the go but I can only stream upto 480p on 5G. These speeds should be more than enough to stream at 720p60 and 1080p60 quality. Is there some intentional network speed throttling going on for video/live streaming?
If there are capacity issues on the towers then koodo does reserve the right to throttle users. But it is unclear if this is the case.

Yes I have tested it at home as well. Videos/live streams buffer on 5G often but when I turn wifi back on, it plays normally. Same issue with tiktok.

Same issue on YouTube, it starts buffering at 1080p. I've tried it on my old S20 FE, same buffering issues. However when I tried a Fido Sim card, those issues went away. So it seems to be a network issue to me.
I believe you can get around this by using a VPN to stream your videos. Otherwise, you should have not this issue with Rogers or Freedom Mobile.
