Issue with Square payment giving invalid location error

I have a google pixel phone and a square to accept payments from customers.  I do live on a boarder town (Canadian with USA neighbor).  My roaming is off, location is set to exact location.  My square will not process payment and gives me an “invalid location” error message.  Square has checked my dashboard etc. and the issue is not with Square.  Any ideas?  I have tried everything google has suggested.  I am assuming it is my network because other vendors that have other providers are not having the same issue.  Thank you, any suggestions are welcomed.  With no access to Koodo staff, my next option is to change providers.

Do you have another phone (even from friends or family members) to see if the square device and app works on the other phone?

I think it might be a glitch of the Payment app. Can you uninstall and reinstall the app? as well have you tried to reset network settings of the phone? you can also try to test the app using a local WiFi network

The square works with my phone when not near the area that is close to the USA.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled but that didn’t work.  The Square does work as long as I am not near the USA boarder (I do remain in Canada at all times).  I thought with roaming off and exact location on, the issue shouldn’t happen.  This seems to be a mystery for all.  I think I am going to run and change providers today.  I can’t afford for the app not to be working with one of my largest events of the year happening this weekend.

Thank you for your suggestions, much appreciated.

Understandable that you need to make this change for one of your largest events.

I recommend you set up an independent line  for now with the other provider and Use Koodo as a possible backup.

As a test for your Koodo device when you have the time, when you are near the border with roaming off, are you still able to use Cellular data and calling and SMS without issue?

Does your Google Maps and GPS give your location accurately when you are near the border?

I can use data and SMS without issue.  My city and province are both correct as well as the building I currently am in.  Building next door is listed etc.
