Yesterday I had a Telus sim and I could send and receive photos in my messages. Today I have Koodo sim and I have to turn on my data in order to send and receive photos in my messages. What needs to be done so I don’t have to keep turning my data on and off?
Data needs to be on for sending and receiving MMS. Your options are a data block for $5, or you could choose a prepaid plan if data is not needed at all - you can have unlimited calling/texting for $25.
Well how come I didn’t need to have data turned on with my Telus sim card?
This isn’t just a Koodo thing, it’s the same with every carrier.
Unless you’re using RCS, iMessage, or some other internet based messaging feature, then data has to be turned on for MMS.
