Hello, I canceled my koodo account last septembre to move abroad for a year, but now that I am back I changed my phone company and I really want to get back my old phone number from Koodo. Is there a way I could do that while staying with my new company?

After cancelling a number, carriers don’t actually own the numbers, but they are released and assigned to new customers. Phone numbers can also be transferred to different providers by the customers while they are using a specific phone number.
+4If the number is canceled for more than a year, there is a high chance that someone already used it. You can try to call the number to see if it is in use.
If the number wasn't in service, you can activate your Koodo service first and schedule a call back to see if a Koodo tech can manually find the number and reassign it back to your Koodo number. They might charge you a service fee for it. Then after it, you can port the number into the new cellular carrier in Canada
