My main Iphone developed a virus. I want to use my backup I phone so I can make Wi-fi calls until I get to the Apple store. And I’d have to make  a phone call to be able to do this.

Followed the directions on the help menu an it doesn’t work.

8 hours so far between Koodo and Telus health. Same BS

hmm ok. So to confirm, you really just need the old iPhone to be setup for Wi-Fi calling so you can use it while the main one gets repaired at the apple store?

If both devices use physical sim, you can remove the physical sim from the main iPhone and insert it into the old device, and your service will be transferred to the old device. From there, you can also setup Wi-Fi calling, but your entire plan will actually transfer over so you will be able to call, text, and use data as well.

Your Koodo plan and number are only linked to the sim and that is all that is on it, it is not linked to the device if that is all you’re looking to do. If the new main iPhone has an eSIM, is the old iPhone eSIM compatible?

A factory reset of your phone would get rid of anything unwanted that may have ended up on your phone as well if you’re able to do one from the settings. It’s likely all Apple would be able to do as well if you/theyre unable to find the individual item that’s causing the issue.
