ended up with my iPhone deleting or corrupting my eSIM trying to recover eSIM and says it pushed a notification to continue setup. However I have no cell service so never received it.  There’s another option for using QR code but I never received it.  Is there anyway to get this QR code?

tried restarting my phone then resettled my network settings and tried one more restart and then received the push notification so don’t know what happened to have to do it multiple times but glad it’s working again

Hi there,

to receive your eSIM profile, you need to be connected to WiFi, you don’t need to be connected to the cellular network to receive it. Is the device connected to WiFi when you go through the eSIM recovery process in Koodo self-serve?

If not I suggest you try this to have the eSIM profile sent to you via the push notification. Steps to receive the eSIM profile can be found here: eSIM setup | Koodo Mobile

hmm ok. In that case I will flag a rep on here for you to see if they can assist since you followed the steps and are connected to WiFi. In the past, they have been able to send new instructions to activate the eSIM to others and it has worked, let's see if this can help. Just make sure to login to the community using your self-serve credentials and they can take a look.

To answer your question though, Koodo used to offer eSIM vouchers which had a QR code on them. Once you performed a sim swap, you would scan the QR code, and it would activate the eSIM. These are no longer sold and are only available at Koodo stores while supplies last.

If a rep on here is unable to assist, then I suggest you reach out to a rep through Koodo’s expert messaging. Their dedicated team should be able to assist with the eSIM swap. They’re available from 9am-9pm local time during the week. More info can be found here: Koodo Expert Messaging FAQs | Koodo Mobile

awesome! It’s possible from deleting the old eSIM a reset of the network settings was required. Weird that it needed multiple restarts, but this is good to know for us on here going forward.

I am glad it worked out! If you have any other problems let us know. 🙂
