I did a factory reset and still not working right. Anyone else have this issue?

Thanks, I got it figured out. I also got a new iPad at the same time as getting a new internet service. It was location settings in the iPad that needed to be on for all Google apps. What a relief! I rely on it so much.

I did learn how to factory reset the nest and turn off 5G and reconnect everything to 2.4, That didn’t work, lol.

Just to confirm, was it Koodo store that it had issue with?” was the device working with other thing?

Previously, I had Cogeco for Internet and my Google nest worked fine. I would ask it what time a store would open or close and it would tell me. With the new Internet connection, I no longer am able to ask what time the store opens or closes. I did a factory reset on the Google nest and reinstalled it in the Google home app, but it still does the same thing. I’m wondering if it has something to do with the 2.4 and the 5 GHz connections being one instead of two as before.

I am not sure, Google Nest isn’t a Koodo product so not many people are using it in the forum.

But if it have something to do with the device’s ability to detect the location, if you suspect it is related to the band 2.4G and 5G selection, you can try to turn off the 5G band or change the 5G band name into something else.

It definitely does have something to do with the device’s ability to detect the location!

Google has their own community for their products. I’d suggest asking there to see if anyone can better assist!
