I’m trying to get an E sim for my new phone but can figure out how.  i have a monthly billing plan with tab, my old phone had a physical sim card in it, i lost it in the ocean. its gone.

i went online and used my tab to get a new phone, it was mailed to me.  now i need to activate it but i cant because i don’t have my old physical sim, (old phone pixel 8, new phone pixel 10) so i want to get an Esim for my number but it seems i cant figure it out since i don’t have my old sim any more.

Thanks

Since your Pixel 8 was on a physical SIM there's no eSIM to transfer, it's simply a conversion of your line to an eSIM, so nothing needs to be done on the old phone first.

Did a SIM card come in the box with the Pixel 10? If it did, switching to that SIM in Self Serve is the simpler route.

Otherwise you can do the eSIM conversion yourself in Self Serve, Mobile Services » select your number » Get help with eSIM and SIM cards. Koodo sends a verification code to the number or the email on your account, and since your old SIM is gone you'll want the email option. The Android side is covered here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-on-android

If the code doesn't arrive or it fails there, a Koodo store can transfer your number, bring valid ID.

You should be able to get a SIM card replacement on your Self-Serve account, update the details, and then switch it to an eSIM. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support
