failed to Provide Internet Service on activation date

Is there any way to speed up the process of getting coaxial cable installed from the mast into my house? Purchased Koodo Internet to get away from bell and the price was attractive, the rep placed notes that a coax drop was needed and I’d be contacted by a third party company to have it install. No one contacted me or showed up and my activation date was yesterday April 14. I tried calling 4 separate times to Koodo and final got a hold of someone for answers, and was told they’ll put a ticket in for a tech. I demanded them to have it resolved by end of week or I’ll be canceling. Note I already paid for the service.

Unfortunately not. Where Koodo internet works with a 3rd party, they need to first verify if the 3rd party technicians are available to install the COAX. Until they here back from them, a date cannot be established. It should not take too long to here back about a technician date through an email, but after a few business days I would schedule a callback and ask for an update.

Unfortunately the rep you spoke to to create a ticket for the tech to install is the best way to get it done.  Koodo is relying on a 3rd party so there is not much else they can do to rush the service.

 

Did you get your equipment yet and did you try to plug everything in to see if it works?

We have managed to get an update from the Internet support team and they confirmed an appointment has been scheduled for tomorrow between 8:30AM -10:00AM. Please note that the technician might not contact you before the appointment.

I have received the equipment Friday last week. I have not completed the self install portion yet because there is no coax cable from the outside coming into my house. I have just received a text that a tech would be coming by tomorrow morning shortly after posting this.

Do you have a coaxial port in the house?  I would still try plugging just in case there is a coax line from outside already coming in.
