esim and new line issue

Brought my own phone to add a new line to existing Koodo plan. Ordered eSIM and it assigned a temporary number. When setting up on account it asked to transfer or change number so I chose change number as I wasn’t transferring from another provider. All good phone is working and new line shows on my existing account with our other phones. However now I am getting emails from Koodo for the temporary number asking to set up account. Also, on the self serve on my account it shows I am only 67% complete in setup and the new number needs to be added? Don’t know if this is a glitch that will resolve. The temporary number doesn’t show anywhere just getting emails for it.

When did you order it? If they sent an email with the first temporary number, it might be just an automatic email generated by the Koodo system. 

As well, there seems to be a glitch with Koodo’s automated workflow regarding new lines. I got a similar issue, but it resolved by itself after 1,2 billing cycles.

Have you received your first bill yet? If you didn’t, I recommend you wait until then so you could see the actual number in the bill. As of now, if the new line works normally, I wouldn’t be worried. 


Ok yes just yesterday. New phone number shows on my existing account and not the temporary number so will see if this resolves after first billing.
