Question

code 11b1 - can’t make any calls

I am visiting Canada and five days ago purchased a Koodo SIM so I would have phone service and internet access. The agent installed the SIM for me and everything worked fine for five days. Yesterday I was unable to make calls - I get a code 11B1.
I need to get the service I have paid for. Help, please!

Hi @Artieleblanc

Does it happen when you try call Canadian numbers?

Are you able to receive calls?

Yes, it happens calling Canadian numbers. I don’t know if I can receive incoming calls, as I expect very few.

Will you please check if call forwarding is enabled in your phone settings?

If possible, try testing the sim on a different phone.

@Artieleblanc What type of phone are you using?

Have you tried resetting the network settings?

is the phone connected to the network?

It’s an iPhone SE and it is connected right now to Koodo.

I don’t want to do a reset as it might mess up other stuff. I shouldn’t need to - the phone was working fine for calls until yesterday.

The phone settings was already messed up. If you didn’t want to do it. You might have to visit a Koodo location and ask a rep there to check. It is very hard to pinpoint the issue given we are not meeting face-to-face.

You could also put the SIM card into another phone (if you had) to see if the problem from the SIM or your iphone
