Cant get wifi calling to work

Im trying to set up wifi calling on my phone. My phone number is not recognized by the koodo site when I enter it. My device appears to be VoLTE compatible.

Does VoLTE work?

When you are making a voicecall in a LTE area, does your signal drop back down to 3G or stays on LTE?


Im not sure how to tell what signal im using, I just made a call and all I can see is signal bars at the top. Other than the wifi symbol, mute etc. No lte, 4g or 3g. Signal is very poor here, which is why I want the wifi calling.

In self serve do you see the free VoLTE add on in your plans and add-ons section?

 

The phone was purchased from Koodo?


It looks like youre on to something. The phone is from another carrier, was transferred over using my previous phone number about 2 months ago. 

No LTE listed in add ons or perks. The option is not available to add. Unless I somehow.missed it.

Hello ​@Danontwowheels  In order to cover everything, you can reset the network settings and try to set up wi-fi calling again.  The VoLTE feature is enabled by default with the majority of the rate plans. It is best to schedule a callback in order to continue the troubleshooting with our Tech Support team. 

 


Thanks, I tried resetting mobile settings and restarting. Still getting "The number entered doesn't match our records. Please re-enter your number." How do I set up a callback?

Hi ​@Danontwowheels, I was able to attach your *09 number profile to the account, you should be able to set up the Wi-Fi calling now. Please restart your phone and test again, let us know if it worked, thank you!
