Which device did you switch to? And when you say modem, do you mean the wireless home phone device itself, or your internet modem?

The caller name only shows up if the device supports that feature and the caller's network sends the name along with the number, otherwise you just get the number. Since it started at the same time as the device change, it may be that the new one isn't certified for name display at Koodo, i'm not certain though. Did the name show for those same callers on the old device? If you still have it, hooking it back up for a few minutes would confirm where the problem is coming from.

wireless home phone modem nubia wf725ca. Already registered new sim to new wireless modem and original phone number. No Don't want to mess around with reverting to old sim and old modem.  Koodo service is call display +. Previous name does not appear neither does time stamp.   Other people here have had the same modem change done and I wonder if they experienced this issue.

Koodo provides the modem to connect to cellular network, it should have Call Display+. However, the phone that connected to the device might not fully synced / compatible with the new device, Can you reset the phone to its factory default ?

Nothing much to reset other than power off, wait to reset memory.  Could be the memory is defective.. it stores the number though. I bought another call display phone with less features and date and time  does show with the number. Strange that it would fail once i changed the modem

In that case I suggest requesting a callback via Koodo assist to open a ticket to see why name display is not working

Callback assist from Koodo  :   Wireless home phone modem nubia wf725ca.  They told me that  this modem does not support time and date stamp on incoming caller ID. And that Nubia/ZTE has no foreseable plan to release a new modem.  How irritating.

Don't know why Wireless Home phone users have been hobbled by lack of incoming caller time and date stamp due to the modem.  I wonder if any other calling features are not working ?

That means it is a limitation with the wireless home phone hub. You can reach out to the manufacturer by giving them a call at 1-866-644-3056 or sending an email to nubia@dfcomputer.ca.

Koodo already probably verified with manufacturer.

how old do posts have to be before they are removed ?  The previous thread I was in within the past few weeks seems to have completely disappeared.

@roncarioca, posts are archived when they are resolved or have reached their natural conclusion.  There is no hard and fast rule about when they happen.  Posts may also  be closed for comments and removed if they violate any rules of the community

I don't believe any rules were violated. It  discussed issues with getting a new Wireless  Home Phone. Info  which would be useful to future people who will surely look for the same info and ask the same questions over again and discussed as 3G is killed.  Back to square one.  issues like Koodo will grandfather in a new replacement modem free. If you are not aware , you will pay $120. etc.
