After factory reset i cant set eSIM and have no QR code

I upgraded my phone and added a new line to the old phone for my mother. I set the eSIM and the phone worked. I then did a factory reset to give it to her fresh and the eSIM was not saved. I tried to add it again. No notification after multiple tries over multiple days. I was never given a QR code and none showa in self help. I am not really sure what to do. I've tried everything Google searching and AI can find.

Hi

A factory reset wipes the eSIM profile, and once an eSIM is deleted you can't get that same one back, a new one has to be issued. That is likely why nothing ever shows up.

Which phone is it, iPhone or Android? In Self Serve try Mobile Services » Get help with SIM cards and eSIMs » Manage your SIM card or eSIM, and look for the option to recover a deleted eSIM or request a replacement. The steps by brand are here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-and-esim-vouchers

If Self Serve won't issue a new one, a Koodo store can give you an eSIM, or the rep there can change the SIM for you.

Thanks for trying to help. Yes I have tried that multiple times. I was hoping someone would know how to get a QR code. I believe that with that I could solve this

Which error did you see when yoy tried to recover the.esim in selfserve?

I believe Koodo doesn't email QR code for a self issue esim, it was pushed to the phone so you could try to do that on your phone. Make sure wifi is on and you are residing in Canada without VPN.

Did you Try the self serve recovery multiple times or the step by step link multiple time?

I have tried both the step by step and restoring esim. No vpn, firewall, any sort of security measure that would stop a notification. One of the self service paths leads to a page saying scan the QR code below. But none is generated. Essentially, it appears when the phone is not getting the notification the QR is the option. I've seen other posts where a rep generated a QR for people in my situation. That's what I've been hoping for.

Hi @Supersean

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with setting up the sim. Just to double check, is the line ending in *17 that you are referring to?
