SIM to ESIM Issue

Bought a new  phone for my son. We attempted to transfer to an iPhone 16  from his  old phone with a physical SIM. During the move, the conversion from physical SIM to eSIM failed. It did however deactivate my physical SIM so now I have no service. on either phone. Can someone assist? Thank you

What happens when you insert the physical SIM card into the phone?

Have you tried to recover the eSIM from your Self-Serve account? Did you restart your phone after the swap? https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-and-esim-vouchers

The physical SIM into the new phone? The new phone doesn’t have a physical tray.

Does the physical sim work in the old phone or another phone?

Did you try the esim recovery in self serve that Milkyway suggested?

@Son-1138

Please try the steps provided by @MilkyWay above and also try resetting the network settings on your phone.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I need to work but I’ll attempt these suggestions and il respond when I’m able.

FYI: we did try to restart the phone multiple times.

We attempted the SIM to eSIM Transfer using Apple’s transfer “tool.”

If your eSIM didn’t work, it might be deleted or the process didn’t complete successfully. You could try to go to Selfserve » Mobile Services » Select your number » Get helps with eSIM and SIM cards » Select the option to recover eSIM

If that doesn’t work, you might have to visit a Koodo location and ask a rep to transfer your number into an eSIM voucher and scan it there.
