Question

Schedule call back

I’m trying everything I can to schedule a callback, however, I always end up on a Messenger conversation with Koodo and I never get any replies.

Is there any alternative?

Are you prepaid/postpaid? What have you tried? What help do you need? We might be able to help here. And there are reps here as well

Did the roaming charges show up on your most recent bill or did you just get the text message saying that you may be roaming?

If they did show up on the bill, what dates specifically did they show up? and did you actually travel or did you not leave Canada on the dates in question?

They showed up on my bill.

I was travelling and I disabled my data but they still charged the easy roam charges even though I did not make any calls or send any texts.

So you can actually check the reasoning behind the usage charge. You can do so when following the steps in the article below. When you do, what does it say the charge was for? Text call or data?

If you make any calls, texts, or use any data at all when travelling you get charged. You can receive texts for free as long as they don’t require data but not send them. If you also checked your voicemail, you will also get charged. It’s also one of the most common ways people get charged roaming.

If you did none of the above and didn’t check your voicemail, I can flag a rep to look into the charges further.

That’s very useful!

I’m looking at the details and I see activations when I had missed calls which I never picked it up.
I also see activations when calling to myself (???) which I didn’t think it’s possible. No, I did not call to voicemail.

I do not see any text roaming charges (I received international texts for $0 but did not send any) and no data roaming charges.

hmm so when you call yourself in case you didn’t know it actually does bring you to your voicemail box. Where you missed calls and didn’t pickup, this shouldn’t of cost you roaming as you didn’t register air time.

I’ll flag a rep and they can look into it some more. 😎

And don’t hesitate to reach out here for anything else that comes up in the future. A lot of things can be resolved without a scheduling a callback for assistance.

Hi there @armenzg

From what can be verified, the Easy Roam charges were activated by checking the voicemail in certain days and by answering incoming calls. The reason you might see your number in the inbound answered call section can be due to dialing your own phone number, to check the voicemail or by receiving a call from a private number. In this case, the invoice will display your number instead of Private.

Also, sent text messages activated the Easy Roam fee for the number ending in 03, on the 12’th of march.

From what can be verified, the charges are valid, however,  if you want to further investigate the days with the charge, you can always schedule a call-back through our Koodo Assist

Hi Darius,

Thanks for explaining.

No, I neither checked the voicemail at all or picked up calls. I can see it in my phone history.

You’re right. The only I did send texts was on the 12th.

I will request a callback in the morning.
