    How old is your sim card? Most sims purchased within the past handful of years should be able to get 5G.
    Just wanna check in case you waste money on something that may not be the problem!

    ​@Peter F. I would start with upgrading to a new phone since yours is so old. A new phone will automatically come with a new sim card
