Question

Monthly Discount expired

My $10/month discount with auto-pay by bank account was removed, apparently it “expired”.

How do I change my plan? It’s not allowing me to change since it was already changed without my knowledge due to the expiration.

How can I get this rectified?

Thank you.

Could you share where you got this notice that you were losing the discount even though you still have your auto pay by bank setup? You should be able to keep the discount as long as you have the auto-pay by bank setup and are on an eligible plan.

Hi @catherinej

We have looked into it and we can see there was a price increase announced on the February bill. With the increase the autopay discount also increased to $10. We recommend downloading the PDF bill in self serve and checking pages 4 and 6 for the autopay discount details.

For the price increase notice, please download the February bill and check first and last pages.

If you have further questions, please let us know!

Under “Transaction History”, it says “Rate Plan Change” this month, and last.

I stand corrected,  it’s a expired promotional offer, but it’s frustrating I couldn’t choose another plan.

Last month it said

Rate plan $34 20GB UL Can Min SFD (4G Speed) Effective December 24, 2024

Expires April 17, 2026

Now it says

$46 20GB UL Can Min SFD (4G Speed)

Effective

April 17, 2026

Because you are allowed to change your plan free once a month through your shelf serve.  They increased the price - it counted as you changed plan.

I would set up a call back and ask a rep to change your plan. They have plans 20GB for $40, or 60GB for $45 after the auto-pay by bank account.

Make sure to tell them " not charge for plan change" since you didn't change plan/ they increased plan price and not able to change plan by yourself.

It should not be expired. The $5 legacy auto-pay discount has been replaced by the newer one. You should continue to see it on your account if you keep your pre-authorized payment details.

If you refer back to your previous bill, it will explain that there is a $12 increase on your base plan and a $5 increase on the auto-pay discount, making it a net rate increase of $7.

I would suggest you to schedule a callback through Koodo Assist and speak with a rep to see if they can offer any plans according to your needs. Note that there will be a $15 fee for the plan change, but you can ask them to see if it can be waived. https://Koo.do/Chat
