I pay for the 15$ Koodo card at the gas station, which gives me unlimited text. I ran out Sunday and bought a one today (Tuesday) when I call *611 it usually works but this time it says that I don't have calling and to call *611 which is who I'm calling!!

You should be able to dial *611, proceed past the announcement and add a top-up voucher. You can also use the voucher to top-up through your prepaid Self Serve account.
