I currently have DSL internet, was planning on switching to Koodo internet this weekend. All of the equipment showed up. I didn’t know it was going to be Cable internet. Basement is a mess of old wires, previous owners may have had cable at some point.. Koodo website said I don’t need a tech visit. Is there an easy way to find the cable I need? Thanks
Koodo internet is using a coaxial port (that was setup and connected properly to a hub outside).https://www.koodomobile.com/en/setup/internet?
I would look around to see if you can find any coaxial port. If you can’t find anything, you might need to contact Koodo again and ask for technician to visit your home.
Hi there,
so the equipment just plugs into a coaxial port that is somewhere in your house, it doesn’t necessarily have to be in your basement. Once you locate a coax port, all you have to do is plug in the modem with the provided coax cable and then follow the remaining steps in the link to finish setting up the service. I’ll also attach a picture of a coaxial port as well. I hope this helps
