eSIM is not working for my postpaid

Hi everyone, I switched from Public Mobile to Koodo for a 5G plan. The migration process required me to get an eSIM. I tried to use my eSIM to SIM adapter but it apparently failed. The number has been transferred to my Koodo account but I don’t have access to that number because eSIM isn’t working.

I purchased this official Koodo Tri SIM card from Telus. Do you think this physical SIM card will work fine with Koodo postpaid 5G? https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/accessories/product/koodo-tri-sim

That should work. If you have access to your Self-Serve account, you can simply update it with the replacement SIM card that you purchased. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/koodo-sim-support

Hi

Just to confirm, did you ever receive the eSIM QR code or welcome email from Koodo? As well, which phone are you using?

On the SIM card itself, a Koodo SIM won't simply work by inserting it, it has to be assigned to your account first. Rather than buying one and hoping it activates, I recommend you go into Self Serve » Mobile Services » Get help with SIM cards and eSIMs, where you can request a replacement SIM card or recover a deleted eSIM. If that doesn't go through, a nearby Koodo store can issue and activate a physical SIM for you, bring your ID.

If you want to retry the eSIM first, the guides are here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-on-apple and https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-on-android

Hi, thanks. Koodo didn’t send me the QR code. I think users should be allowed to retrieve the QR code from self serve page.

At the time of activation, in many cases, customers don’t have access to self-serve yet.
