I received a promotion from customer service. free iPhone 17. It arrived today. I mistakenly activated it. Got a call from ‘Nancy’s’ supervisor in customer service. He wanted me to send back the phone so I can receive the benefits I am entitled to. He had me working on the phone and had me reset without deactivating the e-sim card. Now I have no phone. He has not sent an email the the shipping label to return the phone. I have waited hours before writing this, just incase he contacted me through my email. no contact. VERY FRUSTRATED HERE.

This sounds suspicious.  it might be a scam

The iphone 17 is not free.  Do NOT send the phone back unless you know you are contacting Koodo through official channels

How did you get this promotion? Did you give out any personal info, or account info?

What benefits are you referring to?

I highly suggest you request a callback via Koodo assist to speak with a rep.

This is a huge problem when companies like Koodo regularly use cold calling. Never ever trust the person on the other end of the line - anyone can spoof a phone number.

Hi @veryconfusedcustomer, the iPhone 17 is $0 upfront but there will be a $48.38 monthly tab charge for 24 months. You can confirm this in your online self serve, where you can also see the service agreement for the purchase, here is how to download it.

Have you shared any sensitive information with the caller, such as passwords, personal information?

We’d recommend getting in touch with our team, you can speak with the Koodo Expert Messaging team via the Koodo Assist and they can schedule a callback for you if needed.
