coax cable installation

Hello, I received my new Koodo modem and router, and it was indicated that I would not require a tech visit based on a review of my address, however upon receiving the equipment, I note that it is a coax cable that is required. My existing internet (rogers) is on wire and not cable, and they seem to have removed the coax. I would like to schedule an install as I am paying for internet I cannot use.

I suggest you follow the steps in the link to see where the COAX line comes into the home if you havent already: https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/how-to-find-the-coax-line-for-koodo-internet-in-your-home?

After following the steps, if there is no COAX port at the end of the line, then yes you can schedule a technician visit to have the technician install the port in your home. You do not have to cancel the service.

To schedule a technician visit, you can do so through koodo assist under "internet". You will need to speak to a rep through there and they can schedule a visit for you.

I would suggest you to look through your house for the outlet. Did you previously use the coaxial cable from a previous service provider? Have you checked all the wall plates?

If there is no coaxial cable outlet, you may not be eligible for Koodo Internet and would need to cancel your subscription. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/how-to-find-the-coax-line-for-koodo-internet-in-your-home
