[ARGENT]How to transfer eSIM to new device. Need QR code

Hi, I just transferred my number to Koodo, and the transfer is complete. But my Koodo eSIM was never installed on my iPhone. I accidentally dismissed the eSIM setup notification.
I tried to recover my eSIM in Self Serve, but I couldn't get the verification code. The email option says my email "can't be used because it was recently updated," and I can't receive texts because my eSIM isn't active.
Could you please help me to get an eSIM QR code, or tell me activate my eSIM another way?

Since you dismissed the notification, I would first connect to Wi-Fi and restart the phone a couple of times, the eSIM download prompt sometimes reappears after that. A rep confirmed in another thread that the push notification had got stuck and connecting to Wi-Fi resolved it.

The QR code only triggers the eSIM download while the activation is still pending, so I wonder if that's why Self Serve is dead ending now that your transfer has gone through. Apple's side is covered here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/esim-on-apple

Try this QR code at the bottom of this page to see if it works

Hi there, @Kinuko !

Please check your e-mails, we’ve sent you an e-mail with a different QR code for activation.

Hi, thank you for your prompt support. I tried to read the QR code but it didn’t work. I guess it’s because for Android. I am now using iPhone, so could you please send me QR code again for iPhone?

Hi there,

I can see in our system that the Koodo eSIM seems to be installed. If the standard activation steps fail, then, as over here we’re limited, you will have to book a callback via Koodo Virtual Assist on our website to have our Teams help you over the phone. You can provide any active Canadian number at hand, that you have access to, for the callback.

Hi, I guess it’s impossible to call because my eSIM is not transfered and I can’t use former network service anymore.

Could you please try again to send me QR code not for Android but for iPhone?

I’ve never processed to read QR code, so I guess it will work.

Was the QR code on the android esim page the same QR code that was emailed to you?

Have you tried to restart your phone?

Thanks for following up!

I'm using an iPhone, but I didn't mention that in my original post. After I posted here, someone from TELUS or Koodo sent me a QR code by email, but the email says it's an "Android QR code." I haven't tried scanning it yet, because I haven't received an iPhone QR code. I think I can complete the setup if I get one for iPhone.

As for restarting, I've already restarted my phone about 5 times. When I tap "Add eSIM," it only says to scan a QR code or try another method, so I can't move forward without a QR code.

Also, my previous carrier has already been cancelled because the number transfer is complete. So right now I can't make calls, and I can't use data outside without Wi-Fi.

I also tried to set up the eSIM through Koodo Self Serve. But maybe because I only created my account yesterday, it says my email "was recently updated" and asks me to receive the code by text instead. I can't receive texts for the same reason, so I'm completely stuck.

I believe the QR code is the same for android as it is for iphone. All it does is trigger the network to resend the esim to your phone.

Did you make sure you have data enabled?

When you check your iPhone's esim manager, what do you see there? Is it just empty?

Thanks, Dennis. I tried scanning the QR code while connected to Wi-Fi, but my iPhone says: "eSIM cannot be added. This code is no longer valid. Contact your carrier for more information."

In my eSIM settings, I only see my old Fizz eSIM, which no longer works. There's no Koodo eSIM.

Could someone please reset my eSIM and send me a new QR code? I can't call for a callback because I don't have another phone number I can use.

Thanks, Dennis. I tried scanning the QR code while connected to Wi-Fi, but my iPhone says: "eSIM cannot be added. This code is no longer valid. Contact your carrier for more information."

This message usually means the esim has already been downloaded to your iphone.

Do you see a new, unfamiliar line listed in your esim manager aside from the Fizz esim?

It worked! The Koodo eSIM was already on my iPhone under an old line label ("Travel"), and it was turned off. I turned it on, and now it shows Koodo. Thank you so much for your help!
