Question

I'm being charged with $20 to a SIM card replacement.

Yesterday when I went into a TELUS/KOODO store in Calgary and I was seeking help to a SIM card replacement.  But the store charged me $20 for a new sim, they activate it for me immediately.  But it is somehow different from what I understood from the official web that I should get a blank new card and do the self register by myself.

Iā€™m wondering can I get back the $20 I paid?

Did this help you find an answer to your question?

Hi there,

So the standard cost of a sim is actually $10-$20. They are not free replacements. The portion of switching the sim for you they actually did for free as opposed to charging an additional service fee.

But you're correct that alternatively they could have still just charged for the blank sim card and had you do it on your own through self serve. However, there is still the cost when purchasing the sim card. šŸ™‚šŸ‘
