Unable to Verify Debt Collector with Koodo Upon Multiple Attempts & Methods

Hello,

This is a follow up post on my previous one regarding a claimed debt collector hounding me on behalf of Koodo supposedly. I need to verify them. The method Koodo provided did not work. Online Chat is not working. Calling customer service also not working. I went in person to Koodo counter and they told me to call customer service again. Koodo has been sending me in a loop to do something very simple - to pay off a very small amount - but making sure I am sending the money to the right people but not some scammer given the threatening behaviors from the claimed debt collector. Why is it so difficult and takes so much time to verify a debt collector? The banks’ processes are much easier than Koodo’s. Nobody will send money to an aggressive claimant without verification especially.

Please provide a real solution that will work asap as above 3 methods were tried and proved to be nonfunctional.

If you tell the Koodo assist that you’re not a customer, write about collections, and then schedule a callback, the assist will give you the option to schedule a callback.A screenshot of you attempting and not being able to get the Koodo Assist to schedule a callback would actually be helpful.

It would also be helpful to not tell someone they’re messing with you who is trying to help. We don’t need to have access to know what to generally do in cases of bills gone to collection.

Could you elaborate on  the “method Koodo provided”?  Did they give you a number?

if you would like to get in touch, there isn’t a direct number but you have to schedule a call back with their digital assist www.koodo.com/chat

“Online Chat is not working. Calling customer service also not working. I went in person to Koodo counter and they told me to call customer service again. ” — 3 methods, as already repeated in my first message. Here they are again.
If you have the time to chit chat and tell customers to repeat again and again, you can confirm for me if the debt collection agent is authorized by Koodo already. This is why customers won’t want to come back to Koodo the way you treat people with indecency. Call back doesn’t work cause I don’t have a number with Koodo already, they wouldn’t call back a number that’s not recognized by Koodo. All these can be done via email. My friend sent me a CRA complaint link about telecommunications companies like yours by the way.

It’s very embarrassing for you cause all these messages can be screenshot. You don’t know where they’ll end up at, and everyone can see with proof how horrible this company is. Even on public message boards

Not sure if you know, but this is a customer public forum. People here are mostly customers like you are. We are trying to help you. (if you read my footnote in every post, you probably realized that I am a customer).

You opened another thread one month ago but you didn’t respond after the 1st post. I am not sure if you can call that thread a “chit chat”.

Calling customer service is not working because there isn’t a number to call. You have to schedule a call back. They can only schedule a call back to a Canadian number, unfortunately

Anyway, are you currently residing in Canada? If not, you can try to message Koodo via social website. Facebook or X messaging can work. Links are below at the bottom of this forum webpage.

Whoever at Koodo closed the 1st chat thread, so I am unable to continue with the 1st thread. This was why I even started a second thread. Did you even check that before you started telling me to go continue with the 1st thread?

No, you are not a customer. You are lying. I know you’re observing backend data about my info. YOu could be a customer AND a staff, that i have no doubt, otherwise i dont know why you’d be talking as if you knew all the back end data. Please dont think people are fools you can lie to, a lot of us are tech people too. We know where you’re coming from when you say certain things, and you try to lie about it? You can lie to someone who’s not also in the tech industry. But to us who are in the tech industry, we know you’re lying and thats why you’re saying hte stuff you’re saying. I can view people’s backend data too, but they’re not always true or accurate or correct - THIS is what tech people know too.

Wow, your level of paranoia is truly exceptional. I regret the time I spent addressing your concerns.

I’ve been part of this forum for quite some time, and respect and consideration go a long way. If you’re unwilling to engage constructively with the community here, best of luck resolving your issue.

Hi,

Mobile Masters are very knowledgeable customers who are happy to help other customers here on community, they are not Koodo reps and they don’t have access to customers data.

Even Koodo reps have limited access here on community. If customers aren’t logging in through their self serve account, the official reps here are not able to access the account details.

Please follow the suggestion shared by Goran above to schedule a call back or you can reach out to Koodo reps on Facebook or Twitter, as Dinh suggested.

These articles explain the role of the Mobile Masters here on community and the Koodo community and Social Media guidelines when posting or asking for help on the Koodo community.

My phone number is no longer in use, I don’t have access to that phone number I owe some money on already, so I am unable to use self serve to access whatever using that old number, that old number now belongs to someone else. So I just need to verify a debt collector claiming to represent Koodo, how can we do this without me logging in because I am unable to log in and the online chat is not working because I dont have a phone number associated with Koodo anymore (see screenshots proving this, the online chat says they cannot help me because i no longer have an account with Koodo with a Koodo phone number).

We tried 3 different ways to verify the debt collector, all without success, Koodo, when can we verify the debt collector without needing to login? It should not be a legal requirement to log in in order to verify a potential debt collector claiming they’re from Koodo, can you ask your Legal team to verify if loggin in is the only legal way to verify with Koodo about the authenticity of a debt collector who has been harassing us? Get your lawyer to put out that statement, if loggin in is not needed, then you must verify the debt collector with me somehow, please provide the steps and solutions. Because the banks have no legal requirement as such to verify a debt collector, why would Koodo, and if you do, you have to provide that in writing to tell the public (past customers adn present customers) that it is by law Koodo is asking people to have to login before Koodo is willing to verify a debt collector with a past customer (whose credit is being damaged due to Koodo’s inability and unwillingness to verify a debt collector claiming to be harassing us on behalf of Koodo). Send us that statement and legal requirement. Otherwise, please provide ways to verify that debt collector without needing to login to use the self serve, again self serve as the screenshot shows is NOT working for us who don’t have a Koodo number or any associated phone number or client association with Koodo at present as a past customer.

We dont need anybody else telling us anything. One official Koodo response is enough. Anybody else’s answers are useless to us. We cannot verify authenticity of accurateness from anyone who’s not an official Koodo employee. We don’t entertain that. Provide your official email to us to verify the debt collector please? Otherwise please state legal reasons why you cannot do that from your lawyer, all we need to do is to officially verify a debt collector claiming to be harassing us on behalf of Koodo.

It did not work. The chat is not working like the way you are saying it would work.

There we tried as many ways with the chat bot as we can, nowhere can we find out about debt collection. All screenshot, what else do you need to prove that it’s not working the chat bot and there’s no call back for past customers who are needing to resolve a serious credit issue who have been harassed by a debt collection agency claiming to be harassing us for Koodo?

You would be postpaid because prepaid does not go to collections. You always pay for service ahead of time. It looks like it gave you one confirmed way to know which you were.

You would just ask directly. It seems like you’re operating on the assumption that you can only use the key phrases it gives you, as opposed to asking for a callback immediately always being an option.
