Texting without Easy Roam

  1. I went to Japan and sent a text to Canada with roaming disabled on my SIM card, yet was still charged Easy Roam $16.00.  Is this an error or did I need to disable easyroam in self serve too?
  1. Without easyroam, it seems like the text would’ve cost me $0.60 - is that correct?

How did you disable roaming?

If you disabled roaming, a text would not be able to be sent.  Did you check your detailed pdf ebill to confirm the $16 charge was indeed for easy roam?

 

Finding out what caused the roaming charge can be tricky

Follow the article here to determine what triggered the roaming and how much roaming you did on that day you incurred easy roam.

If indeed, only 1 text was the only roaming usage, then yes if you would have disabled easy roam, then you 1 outgoing sms would cost $0.60
