need help with upgrading my phone because my current device is not reliably compatible with my diabetes monitoring equipment and apps.

I use the Dexcom G7 and related diabetes apps to manage my blood sugars, and my current phone is causing compatibility and syncing issues. This affects my ability to safely monitor my glucose levels and share data with my healthcare team.

Because this is medically important equipment, I’m calling to see what options are available for a device upgrade, payment assistance, loyalty upgrade, or accommodation for medical necessity.”

You should be able to upgrade your phone on your Self-Serve account. There are a bunch of options that are compatible with your Dexcom G7, especially certain models of the iPhone, Samsung, Motorola, and Google Pixel. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/upgrading-your-phone

If you are comfortable, you can also try to setup the xDrip+ app.  This is a community based made app.  NOTE It is not officially supported by Google nor Dexcom.

You can find support on Reddit and on youtube.

Note that installing 3rd party apps is not for everyone and may carry risks.  Let us know here if you want us to walk you through it.

BC Diabetes recommends xDrip+ and also has links to support pages

Here is the GitHub home page of xDrip+
