Phone exchange needed

I bought two phones about 2 weeks apart, the first one was a Motorola g 2026 and I paid for the phone outright and then within a cple weeks later I had to go in and buy another phone because the first phone was stolen and I paid more for the second phone and received a Moto g play 2024.

Problem is is I didn't realize that the phone was 2 years difference and I paid more for the second phone which was a Moto G Play 2024 and it was over a month ago now since I bought it probably now it's been a couple months now I'd like to exchange it for the original phone that I paid for which is a Motorola G 2026.

I don't think it's fair that I received a phone that was 2 years older and paid more for it I am a good customer I have been with you guys for years and I'd like to correct this issue about my phone being 2 years older than what I received the first time that I paid for it and paying more the second time for the Motorola G Play 2024, I should have received the same phone and not a different one then the 1st Motorola G 2026which has 128 GB of internal storage and the 2024 Motorola the second phone has only 64 GB of internal storage.

I tried it over a month ago to exchange the phone back to a Motorola 2026 which I originally bought and paid for and it was a hassle and they refused to do so in person so I'm asking you now online to rectify this issue for me so that I can have the proper phone for what I paid for.

Can we please rectify this issue?

Sincerely Natasha

Unfortunately an exchange is only possible within the return window right after the purchase, and the phone has to be in like new condition with the original packaging and receipt. The eligibility rules are here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/returning-or-exchanging-your-koodo-phone . A couple of months later a store can't swap it back to the newer model, which is likely why they refused in person.

What's worth checking is the receipt from the second purchase. Does it list the Moto G Play 2024 at the price you were charged, or a different model? If what you were billed doesn't match the phone you walked out with, that's a separate issue from a return.

There is no recourse, since it has been more than 15 days from the date of purchase.

However, you may be able to get some sort of protection if you paid it in full with your credit card. I would suggest you to look into the policy to see if it includes mobile device insurance. If so, you may be able to get partial reimbursement from the credit card company for the cost of the new phone. You may want to do it as soon as possible, as there is usually a limitation on the time period.

I paid $181.65 for my Motorola G 2026 on June 26th 2026 and I paid a total of $194.35 for the older model Motorola G Play 2024, so why did I pay more for the 2024 Motorola version than the 2026 Motorola version

I'd like to receive at least the difference on my bill

Sincerely Natasha

Why are you only pointing it out after a few months of use? As mentioned earlier, you are way past the return or exchange period.

Assuming you purchased it at a Koodo store, you can try to schedule a callback through Koodo Assist and speak with a rep to see if they could do anything to help you out. However, there are no guarantees. https://Koo.do/Chat
