I saw the promotion and want to get the promo price, but I’m still waiting for my new phone to arrive (bought elsewhere). Is it possible to get in on the promotion now or can I not get it until I activate the SIM card with the awaiting phone? And do promo price carry on after it ends, if I set up the autopay? Ie. is the promo plan, the base plan that I’d be working from in the future?

Promos come and go. If Koodo has one that you have your eyes on, I’d definitely recommend you get it now. You may end up paying one or two extra days without a phone yet, but you can keep your plan for life. I’d say that’s totally worth it

+4You can sign up for the prepaid account whenever you want. Its all activated online, you don't need your phone to activate it.
Once you receive the phone simply put the sim card into it.
