PrePaid 365 Question

What happens if you use up all your data before the 365 period? Are you still able to use data at a slower speed?

No, there's no reduced-speed data once you've used it all. Prepaid base plans have no pay-per-use charges, so you get exactly what you paid for and data just stops instead of slowing down or billing you an overage. The throttling you may have read about is tied to Unlimited Data plans from other carriers

On a 365 day plan you get your full 12 months worth of data on your activation date and it doesn't expire within those 12 months, so if you run through it in month 4, that's it for the rest of the term. Prepaid add-ons do still work the same on those plans, so a data add-on in Self Serve would be the way to get more before the 365 days are up. The data will not slow down. With prepaid plans, what you pay for with your base plan is what you have to use, so once your amount of data is used up you won’t be able to use data anymore. It will just shut off and you won’t be able to use it unless you purchase additional data through Koodo’s Prepaid Add-ons or by renewing your 365 day plan. Note that because of this, there is no data overages with the prepaid subscription which is one of its benefits.

The prepaid addon’s currently available are for either 200MB or 3GB that are priced at $5 and $15 respectively. Note that these add-ons only work for 30 days after purchase. If the data included with the Add-on is used up or if you pass the 30days, you will again lose access to data as the Add-on will expire and you will need to purchase additional add-ons. The prepaid add-ons available to you can be found here and can be added through your Koodo Prepaid Self-Serve account. https://www.koodomobile.com/en/prepaid-plans

I suggest submitting throttled unlimited data plans as an idea

While unlimited data is offered by Freedom Mobile, Lucky Mobile, and chatr for their prepaid plans, it is important to note that the reduced speed is set to 128 kbps or 256 kbps, depending on the carrier. This will make it extremely slow for you to do anything with your phone.
