Question

Will Koodo be coming out with Canada/Usa cellphone plans?

Hi..

I just noticed that Freedom mobile is offering a Canada/USA for 50 dollars a month with 40 GB of data included...would love to see koodo adopt this as well as 12 dollars a day to roam  just isn't competitive anymore…

Thanks

D

Even with Freedom mobile and cost. You get what you pay for! Freedom doesn't work anywhere. If you think Koodo is bad, Freedom is worst!

I hear ya and yes I have heard that too but also see lots say they have had no issues with coverage...my bet is it's very dependent on where you are located

And just a note...totally love Koodo...just don't love 12 dollars a day to go to states...used to be 8 but keeps going up

Our LTE use to work really good until Telus took over Koodo. Time to switch. Really terrible in my area now. Eats up your data, doesn't load. Not right. Paying money for no data? They haven't had any customer service team for a few years now. Have to talk to a bot that doesn't help at all. This Koodo is so cheap.

Oh I know we vacation in cuba. 12.00 a day for nothing. Eats up your data too fast. Money hungry company.

We have been with them since 2009. Great service team back then. Now time to switch...

Koodo's sister carrier, Public Mobile is now offering 40 gigs/unlimited everything/Canada-USA wide, 4G speed for $50. I'm giving Koodo a couple days to match this or I'm gone. Public Mobile isn't Freedom. Public has the same great coverage Koodo has. The only reason I'm waiting is because I'm going stateside in the morning and just saw this offer about an hour ago and no time now to switch.

C'mon Koodo...If your sista can do it, u can too!

Koodo has 1 CAN-US plan right now but it’s only available in Quebec. Not sure where you’re located.

Oh Sorry, forgot to mention I'm in Ontario.

Public is offering this in Ontario too, so applicable

It is relatively easy to switch over to Public Mobile. You can purchase a SIM card at your nearest location and sign up for an account. https://publicmobile.ca/en/on/pick-up-SIM

I would not suggest waiting on this limited-time offer.

@Dave w speaking of, it’s recently gone up!  To $14/day in the US (and $16/day internationally--I think only the US price changed recently, so far).  https://www.koodomobile.com/en/easyroam.

Read the last line of the legal nitty-gritty on the Public Mobile offer page. For use in Quebec only.

Its only a matter of time before they do.

And now rogers has a North American plan… $105 per month (but $75 if you have their internet) for 150 GB high speed anywhere.  On AT&T when in USA.  Also giving additional $10 per month off for first 10 months, and. A $100 up front credit.  No activation fee.

Rogers/Bell/Telus are the “premium/1st tier” of the big 3 brands are ar emost likely to have such plans. Koodo/Fido/Virgin are the tier 2/ flanker brands owned by each of the tier 1s. They generally don’t have such plans. And frankly, except for special deals, their plans aren’t a whole lot better than the premium brands, if at all these days.

Telus atm has 95 dollars for 120Gb (85 for 2 years), but no US. The 150GB CAN-US is 105 monthly regular too.  Not sure about bundling deals. You can go wherever makes the most sense for your needs and budget. There’s probably in store deals or whatnot.
