Unable to reach a customer service representative regarding roaming charges on my bill

I'm another customer having the same issue. Signed up for Asia roaming add on and got email confirmation before travel. Once I landed in India, I get text message saying I will be charged $18/day for roaming. Been sent around and around through the online support and can not reach a rep.

This is frustrating after a long trip. Coincidentally, I had no issues with the Europe add on just the day before!

Help me connect to a rep to sort this out.

Hi @Vnoddy, we’re not seeing any roaming charges on your past few bills, is this concerning the current bill cycle?

Also, just to confirm, we can see the Easy Roam 14-day Asia Pass active on your *30 line.

If there are any individual Easy Roam charges on your next bill we can look into them for you then. Please let us know once the bill showing the charges is issued.

Hi, thanks for the reply. It would be the current billing cycle I would be concerned about. I got the following message from Koodo when I landed:

Koodo: Welcome to India! You have Easy Roam with a daily charge of $18. You'll only be charged on days you access your Canadian plan's data, send a text, make or answer a call, or check voicemail. Easy Roam will be valid until 11:59pm local time in the destination where you are travelling.

To see the full list of what is included and excluded with Easy Roam, visit koodo.com/chat

If you don't want to incur roaming charges, set your phone on airplane mode to prevent all cellular network usage.

I immediately thought the $18/day charge is wrong because of the package. I this can be corrected before my next bill, I would be grateful.

Regards.

When you arrive in a different country, your phone doesn’t know what roaming plan you have, so it sends you a message as soon as you connect to the local network.

I received the same message when I arrived in Japan last ke this:

"Koodo: Welcome to Japan! You have Easy Roam with a daily charge of $18. You'll only be charged on days you access your Canadian plan's data, send a text, make or answer a call, or check voicemail. Easy Roam will be valid until ...."

Georgia said that the pass is active. So, I don't worry about it. But if you see the charges on your bill, then you can come back to ask about it. They will look into it.
