Unable to Change Plan – Perk Selection Error

I'm trying to switch to the $35/month 40GB plan through Self Serve, but every time I click "Choose Plan and Perk," I receive the following error:

"It looks like you can't choose a Perk right now. Please try again in an hour."

I have tried multiple times and the issue still persists.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Were you able to resolve it?

I'm wondering if this is a system-wide issue or something specific to my account.

Hi there,

This can happen sometimes when switching your plan. Assuming you waited the hour, some things to try are clearing your cache and cookies, using a different browser, using an incognito tab, or using a different device to change the plan. Sometimes self serve can be picky, see if those let you change the plan and choose a perk.

If you’re still unsuccessful, a rep on this platform can choose the perk for you after you change the plan, they just need to know which perk you would like.

Hi there,

Thanks for your help.

I’m trying to switch to a cheaper plan (about $10 less than my current one, and it actually includes more data). However, when I go through the change process, I get taken to the perk selection page.

On that page I select the free rollover perk, but when I click “Next” it shows an error saying I can’t select the perk and I’m unable to proceed.

I’ve already tried different browsers and incognito mode, but the issue is still the same.

Hmm I see, and to confirm does it allow you to choose another perk and continue the process or does this just occur when you select rollover data?

It doesn’t work with any of the perks.

Ok, thank you for confirming. The plan change process should let you continue without choosing a perk. Can you continue through and change the plan without choosing one? Once you do and the plan has been changed, I can flag a rep for you on this platform to assist with adding the perk on their end. 😎

Sometimes when plans become available, there is issues with the logic in the Koodo system when it comes to perks. It’s quite common, after a while the issues tend to get fixed on the Koodo backend.

I’ve also tried continuing without selecting any perk, but I still get the same error "It looks like you can't choose a Perk right now. Please try again in an hour."

make sure you’re logged into the community using your self serve credentials and they should be able to take a look. They will respond here as I have but note that response times can vary.
