My wife has been making calls to the UK for a number of years. One of the three numbers she calls, no longer connects. Just silence. We tried with my phone. Same results.
I called random numbers in the same UK town. Some rang. Others silent.
I setup a trial of Viber Out (like WhatsApp) and was able to make calls to the number that would not connect.
We’ve done the network reset, reboot.
Stumped and frustrated.

We have looked into it and we can see that the lond distance services are provisioned to your number.
Just to double check, is this format used when calling the UK number 011-44 + XXXXX XXXXX?
If you try to call from a different device (same sim card)
+44-xxxx xxxx The + replaces the 011 on a mobile phone.
When using the format you’ve shown. The results are the same. No connection.
Always used this format successfully. Now some yes, some no.
Have not tried her sim in my phone. Although we are both have same issue from each phone(iPhone and Android)
Are you noticing a pattern of which UK numbers connect and which do not? Are they landlines or mobile? Are they from specific providers? Use specific cell phones? Etc.
Do you have access to another cellphone from another family member or a friend to try your sim in their phone and then make a test call?
The family member that does not connect on the Isle of Man. It is a landline. I call some random government and museum numbers on the Isle as well as in Liverpool. Only Liverpool would connect.
At this point, it appears it may be an Isle of Man landline specific problem. I was able to connect to mobile on the Island.
This is the number for Manx Telecom if anyone with an LD perk could try it. Like the other landlines. It is just dead air that says, “Calling” never Ringing.

It is likely due to the fact that the Isle of Man is not part of the UK and thus not considered an eligible country for the purpose of the Unlimited Long Distance Pack. You will likely be charged at an international long-distance rate.
If you still want to proceed, I can flag a rep to help you. They should be able to include the Pay-Per-Use International Long Distance add-on to your account.
Correct. It is not part of the UK. Rather a British Crown Dependancy that relies on the UK for certain governmental things.
That aside, Until last week, we’ve been calling the Isle “toll free” for years with the LD perk.
I still can call someone’s mobile there toll free. It seems to be landlines that do not connect.
Pay per use is already on the account, by the way.
At least we have narrowed it down to the Isle of Man.
